Meet Our Instructors

Although the private instructors at Mountain Valley Studios are independent and choose their own method books and set their own tuition rates, we do screen each teacher to ensure that our students will encounter only highly qualified instructors.  All of our lead instructors are degreed musicians and/or have significant experience as a performer and/or instructor.

Student teachers may be available at the studio, at times.  These are exceptionally talented college students who are training to become professional private instructors.  To develop their teaching ability they will observe lessons with professional instructors, as well as have a professional instructor observe their lessons and provide feedback.  This can be a less expensive option for lessons when it is available

For the protection of our students, we also perform a criminal history check on every instructor before he/she is permitted to work with any student.  In addition, our studio doors have full-length windows, which enable parents to look in on their student anytime they want to.
