LEAH JONES -- FRENCH HORN INSTRUCTOR
Leah Jones grew up in Van Alstyne, Texas. She began playing horn in 6th grade band, and graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in May of 2011 with a degree in instrumental music education. In college, she studied under David Renfro, principal horn for the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, and Dr. Heather Thayer. In addition to performing in the OBU marching band, wind ensemble, and horn ensemble, Leah was also selected for four consecutive years to perform in the Arkansas Intercollegiate band—the Arkansas college equivalent of All-State. She made first chair three of four years.
Leah currently resides in Fort Worth. She teaches private horn lessons and substitute teaches in area schools. She is a member of the church orchestra at First Baptist Church of Euless.
