I have enjoyed teaching piano for over 40 years. I attribute much of my success as a piano teacher to my mother, who taught me for eight years. She taught me qualities such as patience, encouragement, and adapting to each student's ability and interest. My desire and goal for each student is to have them develop their potential. Music is a marvelous path for students to develop their abilities and to learn to develop the self-discipline to become adept at making and playing beautiful music. I really enjoy seeing a student realize that they can do it.
The method I use the most is the Alfred Method, but I can use other methods as well.
I have played piano for church and school programs and contests for over 40 years. I also played cello in the Lincoln, NE Symphony in 1970.
I obtained a B. M. E. at the U. of Nebraska in '67 and earned 18 hrs. toward a Master's degree at Wichita State University in 1968-69.
