Private Lessons
Private lessons are the most individualized approach to music study. Each private instructor will help you determine lesson length and frequency, as well as which books and/or supplemental materials should be used.
All of our instructors are highly qualified, trained musicians with many years of experience teaching private lessons. Through careful screening, we select instructors who will provide you the best learning experience possible. We also do background checks, in order to ensure the safety of you and your child.
Many beginning piano students will start with either a preschool music class or a Group Lesson. But private lessons are available for beginners, as well. Students are evaluated at the end of their group piano class to determine whether, or not, they should continue with private lessons.
Each instructor sets their own tuition rates and manages their own schedule. Limited openings available for piano & voice only. (Last updated: 11/2023) Instrument Requirements: Piano students must have a piano at home for daily practice before beginning lessons. A well-tuned acoustic piano is preferable, but a digital piano with 88 weighted, touch-sensitive keys is acceptable for the first two years. Please discuss the requirements with Ms. Brown before making your purchase. Ms. Brown also has a couple of digital pianos available to rent. Please contact the studio for more info. Vocal students will need a CD player at home. While it is not absolutely necessary, it will also be very helpful to have some sort of keyboard. This does not have to meet the requirements listed for piano students. |
