For the second year, we are offering enrichment classes for students who are currently taking piano lessons! These classes are designed to enhance what they are doing in their lessons. These classes will include theory/rhythm activities, composition/improvisation, duet/ensemble playing, some accompanying, and a little bit of music history. This is an opportunity to expand your piano training beyond what we are able to do in regular private lessons.
Students will attend a 2-hour class twice a week for four weeks. It is important that you make plans to attend all eight classes. There will be some assignments to work on at home, in addition to what they are doing in their private piano lessons.
Summer enrichment classes are not limited to students currently enrolled at Mountain Valley Studios. And they are not designed to replace your private lessons. Any piano student is welcome to join these classes. Please be sure to register early, however. Class sizes are limited due to space available.
This class is geared toward late beginner to intermediate students. As a general guide, these students would be in Level 2, or higher, of the Alfred Basic Piano series.
