A supplemental camp for piano students ages 4-8
Get ready for an adventure-filled week as we travel to France for an introduction to Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals, reinforce some beginning piano concepts, and enjoy making music together!
Piano Expeditions camp is geared toward beginning piano students, and we’ll keep it simple, memorable, and fun. Students will experience the joy of discovery as they explore the wild and wonderful world of music!
This 4-day camp will showcase the infamous Carnival of the Animals, composed by Camille Saint-Saens. This amazing musical work will be the central theme as we learn about keyboard topography, vocal skills, world geography, music vocabulary, healthy technique, improvisation at the piano, and the music staff.
Students ages 4-8 will enjoy learning and playing together with the backdrop of music by Saint-Saens.
This camp is open to all students ages 4-8. It is helpful if they are currently enrolled in private piano lessons. If your child is not currently enrolled in private piano lessons somewhere, I recommend that they attend a week of the Little Mozarts Mini Camp before the Piano Expeditions camp.
*Students who are currently enrolled in piano lessons with Rebecca Brown will be given a 25% discount on this camp.
