Summer Piano Kickoff
A 2-Week Introductory Piano Course
Piano Kickoff is a fast-paced piano course designed to introduce beginning students to piano and music notation without a long-term commitment to lessons or a need for purchasing a piano. Students will learn basic musical concepts,such as note-reading, rhythms, etc. All instruction and practice will take place during class time.
Each Piano Kickoff session covers approximately one semester of regular weekly group lessons. Classes meet Monday thru Friday. Due to the fast pace of this class, students must be consistent with attendance. No make-up classes will be available. Enrollment is for the entire two weeks. No exceptions.
Also due to the fast-paced nature of this class, this may not be the best class for students with significant learning disabilities. They may find it difficult to keep up and become frustrated. If you have concerns in this area, please speak with Rebecca Brown before enrolling.

"It's like piano boot camp!"
Getting a foundation in the basic fundamentals in a short period of time helps the beginning piano student to experience a greater sense of accomplishment from the very beginning. Knowing these concepts, and having some background in piano will also help a student entering beginner band to be more successful at his/her chosen instrument. Therefore, this class comes highly recommend for either the student who wants to continue with private piano lessons, as well as the student who just wants some background in piano before entering middle school band or choir.

Please note: This is a beginner class. It is not suitable for any student who has ever
had piano lessons before. To register, click the link at the bottom of this page. After your registration is received, Mrs. Brown will contact you to confirm, and you will receive an emailed invoice. You may pay online through that invoice, or deliver cash or check to the studio. |

Piano Kickoff Classes meet Monday through Friday, from 9:00am - 12:00. Consistent attendance is essential, due to the fast-paced nature of this class. No makeup lessons can be offered. Tuition: $200/ session* *Tuition charge includes the cost of all books and supplies. |
